The Big Apple’s Newest Resident
Lighting up the New York City skyline, Oasis of the Seas – the ship that revolutionized cruise vacations with game-changing firsts like the unique seven-neighborhood concept – will become the first in the renowned Oasis Class to set sail from the New York area (Cape Liberty in Bayonne, NJ, to be precise!) come May 2020, following a bow-to-stern amplification. This is the first Royal Amplified ship to sail from the northeast (and the largest!) offering city dwellers seven-night Bahamian escapes, including visits to the new Perfect Day at CocoCay.

New Adventures in the Old World
Longtime New York resident Anthem of the Seas is changing its tune and joining Independence of the Seas in Southampton, England. On eight- to 14-night cruises, the Quantum Class ship will visit coastal towns in the Mediterranean, including Nice, France; Rome, Italy; and Lisbon, Portugal. Other itineraries visit the Canary Islands and Northern Europe with ports of call, like Bruges, Belgium; Hamburg, Germany; and Oslo, Norway.
Portugal’s Azores archipelago may be at the top of your list of places to visit thanks to a recent shout out in the New York Times. If you book a cruise on Independence of the Seas for 2020, you can explore Ponta Delgada, home to 22 naturally occurring hot springs. With the return of Ovation of the Seas (the largest cruise ship to sail the Gulf of Alaska) for a second consecutive season, alongside Serenade of the Seas and Radiance of the Seas, Royal Caribbean has more ships cruising to Alaska than ever before.
